MICHAEL DUNLOP MAKES IT A TREMENDOUS TREBLE

Michael Dunlop continued his winning ways in 2017 as he won the feature Roadside Kia ‘Race of Legends’ at Armoy.

The Ballymoney rider made it seven wins in seven years in the grand final as he rode to victory by over 12 seconds from his brother William in second place, and Michael Sweeney in third.

In testing conditions throughout, Dunlop was on serious form as he was also victorious Saturday’s Superbike Open and the second Supersport race.

Derek McGee did the double taking victory in the Supertwin class and he was also declared winner of the shortened Supersport race from Friday evening.

McGee beat out a strong challenge from James Cowton in the Supertwin race as the McAdoo Racing rider finished in a strong second spot with local lad Adam McLean in third.

Christian Elkin earlier in the day produced a stunning display in the 125 race as he bested Adam McLean with Paul Robinson in third spot.

Joe Loughlin was once again in imperious form as he strode to wins in the support classes.

A more detailed wrap up will be available later.
